The Absa Premiership match between AmaZulu and Golden Arrows scheduled for this Sunday at Moses Mabhida Stadium has been moved to the Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium.
The re-scheduling of the venue was forced due to the Moses Mabhida Stadium pitch being unplayable.
The World Cup semi final venue recently held a cricket match as well as a music concert and repair work to the pitch won’t be completed in time.
“I inspected the pitch yesterday and it is clear that it is not ready to host a football match as early as this weekend,” explained PSL COO, Professor Ronnie Schloss.
“We explored other alternatives such as the Kings Park Stadium, Princess Magogo Stadium and King Zwelithini Stadium, but they are also unavailable.”
The League had no choice but to go ahead with Sugar Ray Xulu as the next option.
