Arrows' NFD campaign off to a good start

RELEGATDD Golden Arrows started their campaign in the National First Division (NFD) on a high note with an away 1-0 victory over Black Leopards.

Arrows were relegated for the first time in 13 years of high life in the elite league after a string a poor results last season and it remain to be seen if this win against Lidoda Duvha could be the beginning of their long life campaign to return to the elite league.

Elsewhere, Limpopo –based side, Baroka registered an away 1-0 victory over newcomers Royal Eagles at the Moses Mabhida Stadium with FC Cape Town beating fellow Cape side,Santos 2-0 at the NNK Rugby Stadium.

Another new comer, Highlands Park forced fellow Ekurhuleni-based side Jomo Cosmo to a goalless draw at Makhulong Stadium with Thanda Royal Zulu and Witbank Spurs also settling for a draw after their match at the Umhlathuze Sports Complex ending in a 1-1 draw.

Maluti FC 0 Vasco da Gama 1, Milano United 3 v African Warriors 1 and Cape Town All Stars 1 v Rankuwa United 1.
