Baroka smells NFD destination

MORE excitement expected at SAFA Second Division National Play-offs Fans can expect another action-packed day as the SAFA Second Division League National Play-offs head into day three with teams vying for qualification to the National First Division (NFD).

Baroka FC will have nothing but victory on their minds when they face Cape Town All Stars in a Group A clash at the Makhulong Stadium this afternoon (kick-off 1pm).

The Limpopo based Baroka can almost smell qualification to the NFD for the upcoming

season as they currently top their group.

Baroka have already bagged six points with convincing wins over Mthatha Bucks (4-0) and Mbombela United (4-1). Another victory in today’s play-offs will secure their qualification to the NFD. This will erase sad memories from their previous year’s Vodacom League play-offs when they missed out just by a whisker.

The Group B encounter between Maluti FET College and log leaders, Polokwane City Rovers will be played at Mehlareng Stadium in Tembisa . The match will be played simultaneously with the Baroka vs All Stars agt Makholang Stadium.

Group B contenders kicked off their fixtures yesterday with Polokwane City Rovers reining on the parade of Amajuba United to secure themselves a 3-1 victory.

The competition however remains tight as Polokwane City are playing log runner-ups who themselves have ambitions of moving up to the NFD.

Later in the day, Mbombela United take on Mthatha Bucks at 15h00 at Mehlareng Stadium with the Group B fixture between Amajuba United and Vardos FC taking place at Makhulong Stadium at the same time.
