LIMPOPO Vodacom League log leaders Baroka FC are confident to end the year on a high note at the expence of Peace Lovers who they play on Saturday.
The match will be played at Ngoana Mohube sports grounds in Seleteng, Ga-Mphahlele and kickoff is at 3pm.
Baroka are at the summit of the log with 38 points from 14 matches, five adrift of closest contenders and former National First Division side Winners Park.
The Khurishi Mphahlele-owned club gave their supporters an early Christmas present when they walloped Dolphins 5-0 during a loopsided match at Peter Mokaba Stadium on Wednesday.
Mphahlele said he was confident that his charges will qualify for the national playoffs and get promoted to the National First Division.
”The boys have found their rhythm, they are playing more as a team than individuals. We will continue to give the incentives to ensure that they duoble their efforts. We will do everything in our power to ensure that we avail all the required resources.” said Mphahlele.
Baroka’s technical director Sello ”Skhalo” Chokoe who is also a renouned development coach in Limpopo shared Mphahlele’s sentiments that the team will be promoted to the National First Division next season.
”After we have qualified for the last 32 stage of Nedbank Cup, our focus is on stretching and maintaining our lead on the log. The boys have declared to worker to ensure that the get promoted. We are confident that we will defeat Peace Lovers and maintain our undefeated record,” said Chokoe.
Baroka are in their third season campaigning in the Vodacom League, after Mphahlele bought a SAB League club three seasons ago. They qualified for the last 32 stage of Nedbank Cup after Limpopo’s perennial representative in the cup Peace Lovers did not make it this season.
