Carling Black Label Cup – the fans have spoken their mind

THE fans of Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates have spoken and their wish will be achieved when the two Soweto giants take each other in the inaugural Carling Black Label Cup which is scheduled for the FNB Stadium.

With fans having been given an opportunity for the first time-ever  to select their own staring eleven in the “Be the Coach,” which they overwhelmingly  responded positively with a 11 million votes, there is no doubt that they (fans) will have one of the best ever derby come tomorrow.

The twist of event however is that both Chiefs and Pirates will be without key stars in Reneilwe “Yeye” Letsholonyane and Tlou “Moletji Express” Segolela who did not make in both teams’ starting line-ups.

The Chiefs fans have shown confidence in the not so regular players such as Abia Nale, Mandla Masango, Tlou Molelekwane and Lucky Khune whom they have voted in the starting eleven while in the Pirates camp, Chiukepo Msowoya and goalkeeper, Moneeb Josephs got the fans’ nod ahead of Segolela and Senzo Meyiwa respectively while keeping most of regular players.

The rest of players in the starting line-ups:

Chiefs: Itumeleng Khune (Goalkeeper),  Dominic Isaacs, Thomas Sweswe, Tefu Mashamaite, Molekwane (Defenders), Masango, Josta Dladla, Siphiwe Tshabalala, Nale (Midfielders), Khune and S’thembiso Ngcobo (Strikers)

Pirates: Josephs (Goalkeeper), Happy Jele, Lucky Lekgwathi, Rooi Mahamutsa, Reuben Cloete (defenders), Thulasizwe Mbuyane, Oupa Manyisa, Andile Jali, Mark Mayambela (Midfielders), Bongani Ndulula and Msowoya (Strikers).
