KAIZER Chiefs and Orlando Pirates fans have all the reasons to smile as they will be able to watch another epic Soweto Derby sooner than expected.
This after the two rivals produced some outstanding performances that saw them emerged winners in both two legs of the MTN 8’ semi-final matches against Platinum Stars and BidVest Wits respectively.
The two legs which was played over 360 minutes produced 11 goals thriller with Chiefs winning 2-0 and 3-0 while Pirates also denied to be outdone by their traditional arch-rivals (Chiefs) as they also managed to score five goals, 2-0 in the first leg before they could add three more goals in the second leg played last night at the Orlando Stadium with the Clever Boys scoring a consolation goal to make it 5-1 on aggregate.
Chiefs easily sailed through to the final match of this competition dubbed Wafa Wafa without some hustles after this afternoon’s 3-0 at the FNB Stadium with goals scored by Maluleke, Mandla Masango and Katlego Mphela.’
At Orlando, the match last night also saw Lehogonolo Majoro registering his first two goals since he arrived at the Sea Robbers’ camp from Chiefs.
The final match’s confirmation between the two sides comes hardly a month after their meeting on July 26 in the third edition of the Carling Black Label Cup which saw Pirates emerged winners.
