AFTER a slip-up at home, National First Division (NFD) log leaders, Blackburn Rovers travel to Giyani in search of renewed fortunes against Dynamos.
The two clubs will clash at Giyani Stadium, kick-off at 3.30pm
This game will test Blackburn’s character. If they want to maintain their lead at the top, they will need to come back from Giyani with maximum points.
However, Dynamos have their fair share of problems. The hosts are currently sitting ninth in the log and will hope to get back to winning ways after failing to register a win in their last three matches. Their last encounter at home was against David Bright’s Bay United which they lost 1-0.
Pat Malabela’s side has scored a measly 11 goals from their last 12 games and will rely heavily on the services of former Linville All Stars player, Joseph Mahlangu who has scored an impressive six goals in 12 games in the National First Division (NFD) for the Giyani-based outfit so far.
Meanwhile, the East London side suffered their first defeat at home in their last match against African Warriors and will look forward to getting back to winning ways in the blistering heat of the North.
Minus the services of Linda Shiba, who was red carded in their last encounter, Eddie Dyaloyi will hope that his strike duo of Thandolwethu Prins and Petrus Ngebo have their striking boots on when they come up against the Dynamos defense.
‘Amarover’ have registered nine wins from 12 games and have scored an impressive 19 goals, only conceding 10, Dyaloyi will most likely hope for a much improved performance from his charges.
Second place, University of Pretoria will hope to continue to pile on the pressure on Rovers as they travel to FC Cape Town on Saturday.-PSL
