Golf star, Pavin to play for the needy children

UNITED State’s Ryder Cup captain, Corey Gavin will grace Gary Player’s annual Charity Tournament which is schedulled for November 18-21 at the Links’ Fancourt.

This will be Pavin’s first appearance in this this tournament which marks its eleventh edition this year which is dubbed the Gary Player Invitational and is being sponsored by Coca-Cola, however he is not expected to struggle with South Africa’s weather after having played here before in the past 14 years.

The main aim of the event is raise funds for the underprevileged after years of successful golfing careers for both these elites.

Pavin is the winner of the 1995 US Open and he has captained America to a defeat in the Ryder Cup.

Legend Player expressed his joy at Pavin’s inclusion in the tournament. “Having him in the field as a winner of the US Open reminds me of when I won my first US Open”, said Player.

The former US Open Champion conveyed the same delight on his inclusion in the charity event. “To be able to come spend time with him in South Africa is a dream come true”

Tickets for this tournament are retailed at computickets for R75 per person.
