MEMBERS of the Bakenberg Community Home Based Care Centre outside Mokopane have a reason to smile after employees of Limpopo Tourism Agency took their time off the office to celebrate the Nelson Mandela Day with them LTA employees in company of its Board were engaged in the yard of the center, cooking for the care givers, accompanying and assist caregivers to do their routine visit to check-up on patients.
The Agency’s Interim CEO Mr. Bibi Kotsedi also handed over a brand new laptop, four-in-one printer and an external hard drive that will assist the caregivers in doing their administrative duties with ease. A signage board is also bearing the name of the center will also be erected this week for visibility purposes.
The center is hosed in an old and dilapidated school at Mmotong Section, Mogalakwena Municipality in the Waterberg District. Bakenberg is made up of 28 villages and has three clinics and one hospital, George Masebe Hospital. The Centre has eighty six (86) care givers, who each of them have seven (7) patients to look after. In total the center targets 700 patients at all the 28 villages.
