Mbalula establish investigating committee for cricket crisis

Sports and Recreation Minister Fikile Mbalula has announced the committee to settle the unraveled forces in Cricket South Africa. The elected ministerial committee will see to it that the investigation takes toll for a month, dealing with the investigations regarding the failure of Cricket South Africa to adhere to the recommendations of KMPG and Legal Counsel.

In his statement Mbalula made it clear that his intervention was supported by colleagues within Cricket SA, Members of parliament and even the citizens. It is through this clarity that one can tell of plea to innocence as well as transparency because cricket like all sports plays a fundamental role in instilling healthy entertainment amongst young people. “The dispute is not in the interest of athletes, the sport, national colours and the Protea, but the intervention is driven by the need for civic duty and good governance in all sporting codes,” Said the determined Mbalula. 

The committee thus enshrines of Judge Christopher Nicholson, Mr. Jeff Radebe who is Member of Parliament, accountant in the national Treasury general Freeman Nomvalo and Ms Zoliswa Zwakala, who is chief director of internal audit. “I appeal to all parties concerned to cooperate with the committee of enquiry and the process a chance.” Added Mbalula.

The elected committee is expected to deliver in terms of the recommendations relevance to the background of the events concerning issues of contestation within cricket SA. While the whole investigation takes toll Minister Mbalula will await a report and also deliver to the public.
