Tyrese said that he was very happy to take participation in the mini cricket activation made possible by KFC as well as the Rand Show.

“I don’t get to play much cricket during the holidays as there is no local team that I play for, but this is the best part of my day here at the Rand show because I get to do two things I love the most playing cricket and having fun time with my family”. Explained Tyrese who represents Gauteng Under11 Cricket team.

Tyrese’s build up on his love for cricket is embraced by this one memory he has that when he talks about it he smiles and giggles. “My biggest achievement so far was when I walked M.S Dhoni during the T20 Internationals cricket tournament”. Tyrese described his biggest highlight.

Not only did Tyrese have fun at the mini cricket activation but he also earned himself an opportunity to be spotted by one of the talent scouts for sponsorship. Which if he gets would be supported with further development and grooming in the sport.

Tich Kuwana of Cricket SA explained the process saying that their mandate together with the KFC cricket activation is to get as many kids involved in the sports and further develop them. And not only the kids but their parents as well, because the children needs their support.
