THE South African Football Supporters’ Association (SAFSA) has received with greatest distress regrettably news of an untimely passing away of the Association’s Founding Vice-President Mr. Nale, popularly known as ‘Mzion’ Mofokeng. The late succumbed from low blood and diabetes related complications, early this morning.
The Association, in its entirety, would like to extend its deepest condolences to the Mofokeng Family, the Orlando Pirates Football Club, the football fraternity as a whole during the time of sorrow.
“We were extremely shocked by the news as we went to see Mzion yesterday and were assured he was stable and recovering. To the Mofokeng Family, the entire football fraternity we would like to extend our deepest condolences and may his departed soul be received with love and warmth in abundance” said SAFSA Secretary General, Mr. Siyabulela Makunga
“Mzion Mofokeng will be remembered by all of us at SAFSA as a man of principle whose ideals included seeing supporters united and striving for transformation and development of football. He founded the Association, alongside prominent names in football, Nyawana, Saddam, Mguyo, Gladys Gailey and many more” he concluded.
