ORLANDO Pirates coach, Eric Tinkler has another chance to reclaim his image when he guides his charges against the visiting Pretoria University this evening. Kick-Off at Orlando Stadium is at 7.30pm
The Sea Robbers are hanging on the 12th spot of the Absa Premiership log, an unfamiliar position this time of the season with 12 points from 11 league outings. This after their failure last Saturday to secure the maximum points at home (Orlando Stadium) against Platinum Stars who held them to a 1-1 draw.
Pirates who however did well on CAF’s Confederations Cup after reaching the final match which they lost to Tunisia’s Etoile due Sahel, have won only three matches, and drew the same number of matches and have lost seven other matches on the process.
The draw against Dikwena was yet another string of poor results after the mighty Buccaneers suffered a 2-0 defeat away to Mamelodi Sundowns in their last match on the 2015 calendar on December 20.
It remain to be seen if Pirates will turn the tables around to their favour against AmaTuks who have
|been blowing hot and cold. The Tshwane-based are lying second from the bottom of the log with 9 points
from 12 matches that has seen them won only two matches of their 12 league matches, with three draws
and seven loses
Meanwhile in another league match this evening, Golden Arrows will be looking forward to enhance their
chances of climbing the log to position four when they play-host Ajax Cape Town at the King Zwelithini
Stadium. Kick-Off is at 6pm. Abana Be’Sthende are currently on position 6 with 20 points from 12 matches
and victory this evening will see them frog-jump Platinum Stars and Kaizer Chiefs who are on positions
5 and 4 with 20 and 22 points respectively.
