Pirates face wounded SuperSport in the Telkom Knockout

Orlando Pirates are planning to keep their form of winning when they collide with league champions Supersport United in a Telkom Knockout quarterfinal at Pretoria’s Loftus Versfeld on Saturday evining, November 6. Kick-Off is at 8.15pm

Bucs who are still in celebration mood after hammering Ajax Cape Town 3-0 in a Premier league match on October 30, ending the Urban Warriors’ unbeaten record in five league matches, are satisfied by their latest performances.

Buccaneers coach Ruud Krol said he has a lot of respect for the Tshwane-based side despite their latest results.

“All clubs have ups and downs, especially when all the clubs are proving to be difficult to beat,” said the be-spectackled mentor .

Matsatsantsa A Pitori on the other hand are still healing their wounds after losing 2-0 to Kaizer Chiefs, and they will be hoping to rise to the occasion in this match.

Said SuperSport head coach, Gavin Hunt: “We are going approach Pirates in a different strategy, taking into consideration our previous loss to Chiefs and Sundowns. Victory against Pirates will bring back morale and self confidence in the team which will see us retain our dented image in the league.”
