THE Premier Soccer League has postponed Wednesday’s promotion/relegation first semi final match between Thanda Royal Zulu and Bay United.

The match that was scheduled for Richards Bay Sports Stadium has since been postponed to June 8 (first) leg with the second leg taking place on June 11.

According to the statement released by PSL, the decision to chage initial fixture was taken after the three clubs, Bay United, Royal Zulu and Vasco da Gama asked that the two semis be played on the same days.

Initially Leopards who take on Orlando Pirates in the final match of the Nedbank Cup at the Mbombela Stadium on Saturday were to play their first leg against Da Gama on June 8, 13 days after Bay United and Royal Zulu had played theirs and Da Gama.

“After the three clubs raised their concerns, the league decided this past Monday to play the two semis on the same day in order to ensure fairness as requested by the three clubs,” reads the statement.

The order of the fixtures is as follows:

The fixture of Wednesday 25 May 2011 at Richards Bay Sports Stadium at 2pm will be changed to June 8 at the same time and venue.
