ALL is not well the Giyani-based National First Division side Dynamos.
This, after the non-arrival of ”new” coach Jacob ”Cellular” Sakala on Monday and the resignation of team manager Gordon ”Mogolo” Masondo on the same day.
On Monday it was reported that Sakala has signed a six-month contract with the Pat Malabela-owned club on Thursday last week.
The Zambian Sakala who was expected in Polokwane on Monday has not reported for work by yesterday.
Sakala has been roped in to replace caretaker coach Allan Freeze who resigned last week citing personal problems.
The Dynamites spokesperson Joe Mbiza said they were surprised by Sakala’s non-arrival.
Mbiza said ”I have spoken to Sakala on Monday and he told me that he was on his way to Polokwane. He did not report for work on Tuesday and today Wednesday, we are worried about his absence because his cellphone was always off,”
Regarding the resignation of Masondo, Mbiza said ”Yes, I can confirm that Gordon has resigned. He told me that he want to give it a break. As far as I was concerned there was no bad blood between us and Gordon,” said Mbiza.
Masondo said he has resigned because of irreconcilable problems with the club.
Dynamos have parted ways with Johnny Ferreira and Freeze since the beginning of this year.
It is expected that Rodney ”Danger” Thobejane will be a stand-in coach when Dynamos visit Witbank Spurs at Puma Rugby Stadium on Sunday.
