THE 2010/11 was undoubtedly the best season for Ajax Cape Town star, Thulani Serero.
Not only did Serero attracted clubs from as far as overseas, but the Soweto-born star has set the Absa Premiership on fire with his latest achievement being voted the March/April’s Player of the Month.
Serero has more chance to cap his glorious season which comes to an end on May 28 after he was nominated in all the three categories for this season’s Absa PSL awards.
The 21 year-old star has been nominated in the Absa Premiership Player of the Season, the Absa-lutely Goal of the Season and Absa Premiership Hot Young Player of the Season.
To achieve his dream of becoming the biggest winner at the end of the season, Serero will however have to beat other hot contenders such as Kaizer Chiefs’ Jimmy Tau and Andile Jali in the Player of the Season category. In the Absa-lutely Goal of the Season, Serero has a tough opposition in the likes of Knowledge Musona (Chiefs) and Orlando Pirates’ Tlou Segolela while he will have to beat Bloemfontein’s Eric Mathoho and Jali in the Absa Hot Player of the Season category.
