By FOCUS REPORTER

THE South African Football Association (SAFA) has confirmed that South Africa will host the African
Youth Championship following a decision by the Executive Committee of the Confederation of African
Football (CAF).
SAFA has been in a series of discussions with the Continental body in the wake of unrests in Lybia,
a country that was originally scheduled to host the tournament from the 18th of March 2011.
The tournament in South Africa will run from April 17 to 2nd of May 2011. SAFA and CAF will announce
further details of the tournament in due course.
This means Amajita will get into competition through the backdoor, after failing to qualify directly. The SA team were kicked out of the qualifiers by Lesotho. Amajita now take the place of Libya in competition, and will once again, meet their tormentors from the mountain kingdom in Group A.
In December, during the Cosafa championships in Botswana, Lesotho again go the better of Amajita.
