HAT-trick hero Richard Henyekane will not be able to play for Free State Stars tonight when they host Mamelodi Sundowns as the club sit with something of a goalkeeping crisis.
Henyekane is on loan from Sundowns and the agreement between the two clubs for the six-month deal stipulates he may not feature against his employers, which is a blow for Stars after his polished performance for the team on Saturday as he scored all the goal for the Free State club in their shock 3-1 away win over high flying Bidvest Wits.
“There is not much we can do about it,” said Stars general manager Rantsi Mokoena.
Sundowns have similar agreements in place for most of their loanees but slipped up with Ajax Cape Town when they did not impose the same restrictions on the deal with Eleazor Rodgers, who played against them last month.
New Stars coach Kinnah Phiri, who made a winning start after taking over from Themba Sithole, must also make a call in the goalkeeping department after the 35-year-old Tsepo Motsoeneng pulled a muscle behind his knee and had to come off against Wits.
His replacement on Saturday night was Ayanda Mtshali but there is no back up for tonight as Daniel Agyei, the Ghana international who was first choice at Stars for the first half of the campaign, works his way back from a recent hernia operation.-www.supersport.com
