MAMELODI Sundowns have moved swiftly to replace their previous vehicle sponsors
after they announced Honda into their new marriage.
The new deal saw the Brazilians received 20 luxury cars from Honda in the deal which is effective until 2015.
The latest developments has since being described by the club’s president, Patrice Motsepe as another milestone in the right direction as they continue to build the club’s brand to the new heights.
“This will serve as a motivation to both our players, the management and the technical team to do well in their attempt to win the league title. I am aware that most reporters are tipping us as hot-favourites to win the league this year, and I beg to differ with them because in most of the time it is the other way round whenever they say that,” said Motsepe.
The Pretoria based team who is topping the log with 31 points while their rivals SuperSport United are hot in their heels with 28 points.
“At this moment, the league title is no one can claim it as there are still a number of games ahead and anything can happen. Remember football is unpredictable.” He said, adding that he will spend money on getting the best players for his team to win the league.
“We want the championship and we working hard towards it. The players and
management everyone is singing one song.”
In regard to their upcoming match with Amazulu, coach Neeskens is optimistic that the team will do well but also included that his focus is just taking a game at a time and improving where they need to.
“The team is prepared for the match and looking forward to it. The team is has been training hard, with a bit of luck things will go our way,” he said.
Neeskens has full confidence in all his players including Teko ‘general’ Modise who since was given the armband has been doing well. “We have quality players and there is more than one that can captain the team. So far I am happy with Tekos performance.”
Sundowns will face Amazulu at Moses Mabhida stadium, Durban. Kick off at 7:30pm
