Premier Soccer League (PSL) champions SuperSport United are preparing for a crucial Champions League match against the Egyptian outfit Al Ahly in Polokwane on Saturday night.
The match is scheduled for Peter Mokaba Stadium and kickoff is at 8.15pm
The upcoming encounter is a must win for Matsatsantsa after losing 2-0 to Ahly in the capital Cairo two weeks ago. If United does not score more goals than Ahly, this will see them crushing out of the continental tournament.
Matsatsantsa will mostly rely on some of their experienced players such as goalkeeper Rowen Fernandez, Ricardo Katza, Bradley Carnell, captain Morgan Gould, Thabo September and the two Botswana internationals Dipsy Selolwane and Mogogi Gabonamong.
Tickets are available at compu-ticket outlets nationwide at R40 for adults and R10 for juveniles.
Meanwhile the United players who were on national duty this past week have all rejoined the team except Anthony Laffor (Liberia) and Fikru Lemessa (Ethiopia) whose national squads lost to Cape Verde and Nigeria respectively.
Both above players will miss this match after the former was sent off against Matlama FC of Lesotho and the latter cautioned in Cairo.
The last time United played at the 2010 FIFA World Cup Stadium was when they beat Matlama 2-0 in the preliminary round of the same competition two months ago. Midfielder Jabu Maluleke and winger Tebogo Langerman were both on the score-sheet.-SuperSport
