After Thulani Ngcobo has set the Guinness world record by being the MTN Last Fan Standing, MTN decided to roll on with the competition as they launched the MTN8 at Orlando stadium today. MTN has made soccer exiting not only for the player but also for the fans. There is an exiting line up for the last man standing as the competition rolls to the MTN8 tournament.
The winner of the last fan standing stands a chance to win an eight-day all expenses paid trip, enjoying eight Manchester United experience in Europe during March next year. To enter the last fan standing competition you have to SMS the word WAFA WAFA to 083 123 WAFA (083 123 9232), to stand a chance of being drawn as the weekly winner. The competition will run for eight weeks, starting Monday, 16th of August until Monday, 27th of September, during which weekly winners will be randomly drawn.
The final eight fans will then battle it out by writing a football test a day before the MTN8 final, to determine who will be the last fan standing that will spend a week at old Trafford. Thulani Ngcobo wished all the fans that are going to enter the competition all the luck, it is really was an experience for me but I worked hard for it, said Thulani. “I have always told my sister that I want to be famous one day and MTN made that wish come true for me” said Thulani. Thulani is now the brand ambassador of MTN and the last fan standing he is not allowed to enter the competition, but if he were given the chance again he would take it again.
