ANOTHER Soweto derby is in the draw-cards after Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates were pitted against each other in the semi final match of the MTN 8 today.
This latest development comes hardly two weeks after the two Soweto giants had face each other in the Telkom Charity Cup which them played to a 1-1 draw before Chiefs could win 4-3 on penalties to lift the title.
This semi final match that has two-legs will see Pirates host the first match either on September 11 or 12 with Chiefs hosting the second leg on either September 25 or 26 at the venues still to be confirmed.
In another semi final, Moroka Swallows will welcome Ajax Cape Town on the same dates of the first leg before they could head for Cape Town for the return leg.
The two winning clubs after the semi final match will clash in the final which will see the winner taking home a whooping R 8 million while all the seven clubs will receive R800 000 each.
Ironically, the defending champions Golden Arrows who won the competition last season after they humiliated Ajax with a 6-0 drubbing did not make it in the last eight.
