Thohoyandou Stadium to be a house of fire as Leopards welcome Baroka

BLACK Leopards kept their dream to return to the Absa Premiership alive when they defeated Stellenbosch FC 3-1 in the Promotional Play-Offs match on Wednesday night, WRITES NAKAMPE LEKWADU.

Lidoda Duvha approached this match at the Athlone Stadium in Cape Town with nothing in mind but a victory with the hope of closing the gap between themselves and cross-town rivals, Baroka FC and their effort paid off.

With the Cape side out of the race for the promotion, the focus now is entirely on both Leopards and Baroka.

The two sides come face to face this coming Saturday in their second leg tie at the Thohoyandou Stadium. The match which is a must win for Leopards and with a bucket full of goals to realise their elite league return wishes is expected to be more than a game.

The first leg saw Baroka winning 2-1 over Leopards at Peter Mokaba Stadium which saw the Ga-Mphahlele based outfit comfortably occupying the top position with 7 points. Leopards are currently on the second position with 4 points and they need to beat Baroka at the Thohoyandou Stadium with a number of goals to return to the top flight league.
