TICKETS for the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying match between South Africa and Egypt are on sale countrywide. Tickets are available at Computicket outlets and Shoprite Checkers stores. Lower tier tickets will cost one hundred rand (R100) and fifty rand (R50) for upper tier tickets. The much-anticipated clash will be played at the Ellis Park Stadium on Saturday, 26 March 2011. Kickoff is at 8.05PM The South African Football Association (SAFA) has received communiqué from the Egyptian Football Federation confirming that the Pharaohs will arrive in South Africa on Sunday, March 20 SAFA has urged members of the public to get their tickets on time to avoid any disappointment closer to match day. “This is Bafana Bafana’s second match of the year, and it is perhaps the biggest and most difficult so far in our AFCON campaign. We are expecting many fans to come in big numbers to support our national team so it’s important that fans go early to get their tickets to avoid a last minute rush,” said SAFA Acting CEO Pinky Lehoko.
