TKO2015 quarter-final draw set for Monday lunchtime

THE 2015/16 Telkom Knockout quarter-final draw will take place in Johannesburg today (Monday, October 5) after the opening round of action this past weekend.

The draw will be held at the Premier Soccer League (PSL) headquarters in Parktown at 12.30pm

You can follow the draw LIVE @OfficialPSL (Twitter) and Official PSL (Facebook).

The PSL general manager, Derek Blanckensee, will be the draw master

PSL Media Manager, Luxolo September, will be the draw moderator, assisted by the league’s chief executive officer, Brand de Villiers, and a representative from title sponsors Telkom.

Seven out of the eight last 16 fixtures were concluded by Sunday evening with defending champions SuperSport United amongst those clubs that are already safely through.

Apart from Matsatsantsa, the other names in the hat after progressing to the last eight are Mamelodi Sundowns, Kaizer Chiefs, Mpumalanga Black Aces, Lamontville Golden Arrows, Free State Stars and Maritzburg United.

The final match of the opening round between Orlando Pirates and University of Pretoria is still to be played. The clash has been delayed until this coming Friday, October 9, due to the Buccaneers’ involvement in the CAF Confederation Cup semi-finals.

The last eight draw is seeded, meaning that the highest finishing four teams from last year’s Absa Premiership are kept separate from the remaining four teams in the journey towards the big R4-million prize.Telkom-Knockout-Trophy
