Two fans, each from Chiefs and Pirates to be R500 000 richer after Carling Black Label Cup

TWO fans, one from Kaizer Chiefs and the other from rivals Kaizer Chiefs will go home smilling with a cool R500 000 in the pocket after the inaugural Carling Black Label Cup.

The two sides face each other in this competition this coming Saturday at the FNB Stadium, and both Chiefs and Pirates chairmen have since decided to split their prize-money to one fan each for participating and voting in the “Be the coach” campaign .

With The South African Breweries (SAB) having put aside R2 million in prize-money, this means the two winning fans will each receive R1 million of which half of it will be channeled to a charity organisation of the winner’s choice in their local community.

The announcement of the two winners will be made on Saturday live after the match and will be personally presented by the two chairmen.

This announcement is again a world first and is a gesture shown by the respective chairmen to reward loyalty shown by their fans as well as contribute to the upliftment of communities.

Eligible fans need to have participated in the “be the coach” campaign.

Voting for the respective team starting line-ups closes tomorrow at midnight so there is still time for fans to participate.
