United FC found guilty of fielding a defaulter

PSL Prosecutor, Zola Majavu heard the following cases this week: United FC was found guilty on charges of fielding a defaulter. The incident occurred on December 4 in a match between United FC and Jomo Cosmos at the De Beers Stadium, Kimberley. Jomo Cosmos lodged a protest that United FC Player, Solomon Hlahane was not properly registered.

The points and goals gained as a result of fielding Mr. Solomon Hlahane are hereby expunged from the records of United FC and awarded to Jomo Cosmos FC.

Moroka Swallows were found guilty of delaying the start of kick-off and bringing the League into disrepute.

This occurred in the match between Vasco Da Gama and Moroka Swallows on December 22 last year, when the Swallows goalkeeper came out for the match in different colour socks as to what was agreed in the match meeting.

He had to then change the socks causing the delay. Swallows were fined R20 000 wholly suspended for 12 months on condition that they are not found guilty of a similar offence during the period of suspension.

Majavu also confirmed the following cases for January 31:

Golden Arrows will appear before the PSL DC on charges of misconduct following their late arrival for the pre-match meeting. This occurred on January 22in the match between Golden Arrows and Maritzburg United when the Arrows team representative arrived 20 minutes late for the meeting.

Nathi Lions will appear before the PSL DC on charges of misconduct following their late arrival for the pre-match meeting. This occurred on January 14 in the match between Nathi Lions and FC Cape Town when the Lions representative arrived 37 minutes late for the meeting.

 

Black Leopards will appear before the PSL DC on charges of misconduct following their failure to attend the pre-match meeting. This occurred on January 22 in the match between Dynamos and Black Leopards when the Leopards representative failed to attend the match meeting.

 

Bay United will appear before the PSL DC on charges of misconduct following their failure to attend the pre -match meeting. This occurred on January 22 in the match between FC Cape Town and Bay United when the United representative failed to attend the match meeting.
