THE 2011 Vodacom Challenge roadshows kick-off in Limpopo tomorrow with the Indiana Shopping Centre in Polokwane set to be a hive of activity as fans of Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates FC revel in the festivities.
It is the start of a four-city tour that will allow supporters of the Soweto giants to catch a glimpse of the atmosphere of this year’s Vodacom Challenge, and win some great prizes along the way.
With only a few weeks to go until the world-class soccer action gets under way, SAIL will enhance its status in the community as being the promoter of this prestigious pre-season international tournament with a series of fun days for fans to enjoy, starting in Polokwane.
The Peter Mokaba Stadium will host the opening match of the 2011 Vodacom Challenge as Kaizer Chiefs take on visiting English giants Tottenham Hotspur on July 16.
And the Indiana Shopping Centre will come alive to the Vodacom Challenge beat with music and entertainment, as well as promotions and competitions, where fans can win match tickets, branded merchandise and prize packs.
The fun then moves on to the Nelspruit Plaza in Mbombela on July 2 for the second roadshow, where just a few weeks later Orlando Pirates FC will take on Tottenham Hotspur at the Mbombela Stadium on July 19.
The next roadshow will be at the Magxaki Shopping Centre in Port Elizabeth on Saturday, July 9, ahead of the Soweto Derby meeting with Orlando Pirates FC and Kaizer Chiefs on July 21.
The final roadshow will be staged at Mopanya Mall in Soweto on Saturday, July 16, with Coca-Cola Park in Johannesburg set to host this year’s final.
The festivities at all roadshows get under way at 11h00 and will run through to 17h00.
