CARLING BLACK LABEL KNOCKOUT TO KEEP PETER MOKABA STADIUMS ALIVE

LIMPOPO football fanatics can brace themselves for a two days football action galore in the Carling Black Label Knockout.

This after SuperSport United decided to play their home match against Kaizer Chiefs in the last 16 of the competition in Polokwane’s Peter Mokaba Stadium.

The match is scheduled for the New Peter Mokaba Stadium on Sunday, October 20 and kick-off is at 3pm.

A day before the Matsatsana A Pitori and Amakhosi match, Polokwane City FC will be looking forward to use their home ground advantage to overcome Marumo Gallants with the hope of earning their passage through to the last 8 of the competition. Rise and Shine welcome Bathlabani ba ntwa at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday, October 19 under floodlights at 8pm.

Elsewhere, the competition’s defending champions, Stellenbosch FC starts their title defence away to AmaZulu on Friday, October 18. Kick-Off in Umlazi’s King Zwelithini Stadium is at 7pm. The match between Stellenbosch and AmaZulu is one of the two matches taking place at King Zwelithini Stadium with another being played on Sunday, October 20 which will see Richards Bay FC entertaining the visiting Sekhukhune United at 7.30pm.

The rest of Carling Black Label Cup Knockouts on Saturday are: Orlando Pirates v Magesi FC (Orlando Stadium, 3pm), Cape Town City v Royal AM (Athlone Stadium. 3pm), Mamelodi Sundowns v Lamontville Golden Arrows (Lucas Moripe Stadium, 6pm)

On Sunday, 20 October: TS Galaxy FC v Chippa United (Mbombela Stadium, 3pm).
