THE Nedbank Cup’s last 16 matches continues midweek next week through to the weekend with the first match kicking off on Wednesday.
With only three clubs from the lower division remaining, it there is no guessing as to which of the top flight sides will proceed to the last eight as they face each other in the tough 16 knockout stages.
The first match of the last 16 will take place at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgevile when SuperSport United welcome the tricky Cape Town Spurs, kick-off at 7pm before Stellenbosch FC could entertain Polokwane City the following day. Kick-off at the Danie Craven Stadium is at 7pm while the thrilling clash between Durban City and TS Gallaxy is expected on the same day at the Chartsworth Stadium, also at 7pm.
Saturday promises to be an action-packed day, featuring three matches in the afternoon, all kicking off at 15h00. Defending champions Orlando Pirates will welcome Baroka FC to Orlando Stadium, while Marumo Gallants will take on AmaZulu FC at Dr. Molemela Stadium. The evening will see Kaizer Chiefs go head-to-head with Chippa United at FNB Stadium, starting at 18h00.
The Round of 16 will conclude on Sunday, 16 February, when Mamelodi Sundowns take on Mpheni Home Defenders at Loftus Versfeld Stadium, with kick-off at 15h00.
